About Annabel.... Annabel Stanley is the great grandniece of Sir Edwin Lutyens, she was trained in horticulture and went on to work as a florist in London, UK in the late 80’s, serving high profile and prestigious clientele, such as Harrods, Estee Lauder,
Tiffany’s
the Jeweller, along with decorating the Christmas tree for the Duke and Duchess of York at Buckingham Palace. She moved to New Zealand with her husband and was inspired to start weaving sculptures with vine canes and willow, going on to give workshops to local elementary schools and speaking engagments to horticultural groups. Annabel then relocated with her husband Grant to the Okanagan,BC Canada in 2003 where Grant is currently the Wine maker for Quails Gate Estate winery.They purchased their own vineyard and replanted the established Chardonnay with Pinot Noir and along with her weaving Annabel also maintains the vineyard.
